Equities Trading
Fully Computerized Trading System
SET began fully computerized trading in April 1991, through the "Automated System for the Stock Exchange of Thailand" (ASSET) which enabled trading to be efficient, transparent, and fluid. In August 2008, in response to the rapidly changing business environment and to accommodate evolving global financial market trends, SET upgraded to the "Advance Resilience Matching System" (ARMS) trading system. In addition to being a high-capacity trading system, ARMS also featured improved risk management and system redundancy. |
In September 2012, SET introduced its newest securities trading engine called “SET CONNECT” in order to better adapt to the expanding Thai capital market. The new trading system supports superior transaction speeds, facilitates international market access, and is able to process the increasing number of varieties of financial products available to investors.
