SET joins hands with BOT to expand financial literacy, investment knowledge for 
provincial people

BANGKOK, August 16, 2023 - The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) in collaboration
with the region offices of the Bank of Thailand (BOT) will organize the "Ruthun
Pakthong on Tour" (Be Aware of Livelihoods on Tour), a financial literacy
course to share knowledge on finance, debt payoff techniques, savings, and
income generation as well as building financial and investment immunity to
people in Khon Kaen, Chiang Mai and Songkhla provinces. The project, which will
kick off in Khon Kaen province, is aimed at enabling people to apply the
knowledge in everyday life for their better living conditions.

SET President Pakorn Peetathawatchai said the COVID-19 situation which upended 
people's life prompted SET to initiate the "Ruthun Pakthong with SET" (Be Aware
of Livelihoods with SET) project in 2020. Under the project, gurus have been
giving tips to solve everyday problems via easy-to-understand video episodes,
which has reached out to people in regions through online channels and media
partners. SET hopes viewers will apply the shared knowledge to solve their
everyday problems and thus improve their living conditions.

The "Ruthun Pakthong with SET" series comprise knowledge about financial 
problems with debt-free guru, a certified financial planner Sathit
Bovornsantisuth; knowledge about sufferings with mind-healing guru Phra
R?javajirapa??ita (Phra Maha Pranom Dhamm?la?k?ra), the abbot of Wat Chak Daeng;
knowledge about agriculture with garden-paddy field-forest-water guru Wiwat
Salyakamthorn, the founder of Pudalaymahavijalaya School; knowledge about sales
techniques with business guru Songpol Shanmatkit, Chief Executive Officer of TVD
Holdings pcl; and technology knowledge with hi-tech guru Putthipong Skonthawat,
 SET Executive Vice President and Head of IT Operations Group.

"In 2023, SET plans the "Ruthun Pakthong on Tour" activity in provincial areas, 
in cooperation with BOT's Northeastern Region Office in Khon Kaen province,
Northern Region Office in Chiang Mai province and Southern Region Office in Hat
Yai district of Songkhla province. In the events, these gurus will share
knowledge and recommend solutions to reporters and influencers who will be
channels to disseminate the knowledge to groups of people, and interested
persons. The gurus from the Ruthun Pakthong project are ready to answer all
unresolved issues. Also, speakers from BOT will join the sessions to make sure
that shared knowledge will cover all facets of the finance and personal economy
that people want to know," Pakorn said.

The first "Ruthun Pakthong on Tour" session will be organized at the Region 
Office of BOT in Khon Kaen province from 8.30 to 13.00 hrs. on Friday, August
18, 2023. Interested persons in Khon Kaen and nearby provinces can find answers
to all financial issues. The session will present all financial answers by the
debt-free guru, Sathit. On the same occasion, BOT will share knowledge about
