SET recognizes the importance of encouraging listed companies to disclose their sustainability performance to inform the stakeholders through social responsibility reports or sustainability reports. It is instrumental that the exchange has continually organized seminars and workshops on sustainability reporting for listed companies in two formats as follows:
1. Training programs to learn how to prepare social responsibility reports or sustainability reports
The training is designed for listed companies inspired to learn about reporting on corporate social responsibility through the 56-1 Form of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). Participants will have a better understanding of the concept and the importance of corporate social responsibility reporting and be capable of preparing a report on corporate social responsibility as specified} by the SEC.
2. Training programs to learn how to prepare sustainability reports according to GRI’s G4 framework
The course is designed for listed companies wanting to produce sustainability reports in line with the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI)’s internationally-recognized framework. Participants will learn the sustainability reporting process based on the GRI’s G4 framework. The process includes planning, collecting data, engaging stakeholders, determining material issues, scoping report content boundary, presenting information effectively and evaluating the report for further development in the following year.
