SET aims to enhance practical knowledge and expertise about sustainability among listed companies, taking into account the nature of the business and basic knowledge and understanding of the management and staff members. As such, the exchange has organized training, seminars and in-depth advisory programs, while encouraging listed companies to apply and integrate corporate management with sustainability know-how to reach the ultimate outcome of leading the organization toward sustainability.
SET has set the goals and strategies to enhance sustainability knowledge development for listed companies covering three core target groups, as follows:
Levels of sustainability knowledge development
The exchange has promoted and developed knowledge and understanding about sustainability for listed companies since 2012 to encourage listed companies to put sustainability principles and guidelines into practice by integrating with the corporate management, including the disclosure of sustainability information through the preparation of the social responsibility report or sustainability report.
The process to develop sustainable development knowledge is categorized into two groups, based on the level of understanding and advancement in sustainable development implementation of listed companies as follows:

In addition to providing training on sustainability to listed companies, the exchange has regularly organized seminars and forums to share useful knowledge and experience among listed companies, benefiting their corporate sustainable development. SET also develops and disseminates sustainability guidelines for stakeholders in the capital market.
In addition, SET encourages listed companies to put the concept of sustainable business into practice in a concrete manner by providing in-depth consultation to listed companies under Corporate Sustainability Advisory Program to create role models for small and medium-sized listed companies which aim to carry out sustainable business practice.
Under this program, listed firms are provided with support in analysis and development of the firms’ sustainability framework in line with their business nature and culture.
